10 Terms All Dota 2 Player will Understand
Dota 2 relies much on communication as it a game of 5 man team so hence communication is the key of success. As such, this are some handful/annoying terms in Dota 2 that is not exactly about hero, skills or item yet Dota 2 player still understand.
1. GLHF (Good Luck, Have Fun)
- This Terms usually say at the beginning of the game on the opposite team.
- It means like saying "Let's have some fun while playing Dota 2!".
2. GG (Good Game)
- In professional tournament, it means "We Surrender" or "We Give Up".
- Generally used at the end on the game.
- Can also be used if your teammate is freaking noob, well you can say "GG teammate" means noob teammate.
- Some good player also used this on opposite team when they made a good play/move like a sign of gratitude or acceptance that the opposite team is Good.
- In vise versa, you can also say this if your team dominate the opposite team or your team made a good plays. Its like saying "Fuck you, give up know! See that combo 2x!!!, eat our dust , we will win this game you freaking all noob"
3. WP (Well Played)
- A nice way of accepting defeat.
- Usually said also on end game combined with GGWP (Good Game, Well Played).
- Can also be used to praise your teammate/opposite teammate if he did something awesome.
- Can also be used to insult your teammate/opposite teammate if he did something that is really stupid.
4. RAT
- Is a play strategy of Dota 2, means one/two player on team will solely dedicate to push only lanes and will not expect to go on teamfight.
- Made popular by Alliance in TI3 when they successfully RAT NaVi and winning 1 million USD.
- When someone pick Natures prophet, Tinker, Lycan or any Pushing Here, then expect a Rat Gaming.
- You can also use this strategy on any hero by using BoT(Boots of Travel) Item.
5. KS (Kill Steal or Kill Secured)
- Giving a Final Blow to an enemy hero that you did not deserve.
- Or also Securing a Kill to an enemy.
- Some notable hero that can always KS for their global skills
- Zeus (you cant run from heaven)
- Natures Prophet
- Necropos
- Sniper (thanks for standing still wanker)
- Super KS item.
- Dagon
- Dagon
- DAGONNNN
6. B (back)
- Used to call for a Retreatt, Get Back, Go Back, Abort Mission
- Some also use it as "BBB", "BBBBBBBB".
7. KOTL GIFF ME MANA
- This one is golden, one of the FUNNIEST video on Dota 2 history
8. OM (All Mid? or Only Mid?)
- A strategic play means all teammate must go to mid with the intention of taking high ground and finishing the game.
- Usually OM start when
- You've just won a clash.
- Important part of the enemy team is dead.
- Enemy key skills are on CD (cooldown)
- Your key hero has the item he need to win a fight.
- After kill roshan and getting Aegis of Immortality
- When you hear this, then shit ain't serious.
- Turns your team into this 5 man invincible pushing force.
9. EZ (easy)
- No Sugarcoating, "YOUR NOOB!!!".
- Usually to mock the enemy team's lesser power.
- It means you or your team is all noob.
- It means to practice more or time to quit dota 2.
10. CYKA BLYAT
- Russian curse word "Bitch Whore".
- Pronounced as "soo-kah blyat"
- Your probably having a bad game when you see this this on dota 2.
